If you've had the opportunity to visit the North House campus, chances are you have stopped by the little Yellow House that serves as our welcome center and School Store. We offer handcrafts made by our instructor community, craft kits to engage your hands and mind, books on craft topics of all sorts to keep you inspired, North House apparel, and much more! We also offer memberships and gift cards for you, your friends, and family. About North House

North House was founded in 1997 by a small handful of inspired locals passionate about traditional craft and cooperative learning. When we published the first catalog of 23 courses (including Inuit kayak building, Scandinavian bowl carving, and canoe paddle making),

North House has thrived over the ensuing two-plus decades, and now hosts over 350 classes and 3,000 students per year on our harborside campus and online, and connects students and instructors from all over the state, country, and world.
