Over the years mittens have been her absolute favorite thing to knit partly because they are the perfect balance of functionality with room for a little whimsy. As she says, \"I also love that each pair feels personal- I try to imbue each of them with the idea, I made these to keep your hands warm.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKirsten first came to North House as an intern in 2018, after several years working and living abroad. She has backgrounds in professional baking, sustainable agriculture, and natural fiber production, though her favorite thing to teach is baking.
