Beautiful crafted Gudbrandsdal style hand-painted bowl by North House Folk School's Resident Artisan Tara Austin. This lovely black bowl is 5" across and is painted both inside the bowl and around the exterior of the bowl using shades of blue, white and a fiery ochre red color. Tara loves to push the boundaries of the beauty of Rosemaling and her bowls and other items in our school store are a beautiful tribute to her skills in both modern and traditional painting styles. During her stay in the Artisan Development program Tara will be focusing on the folk art of Norwegian Rosemaling. It combines two of her passions, painting and plants.
