Nalbinding Needles

Nalbinding is a way of making fabric with a looped structure. Although there is some similarity to knitting and crochet, it must be said that they are only distant cousins. nalbinding is one of the oldest ways to make fabric, and it is found in cultures all over the world. In many places the practice of nalbinding has been forgotten, but in Scandinavia there is a continuous tradition for more than 4500 years.

Nalbinding items are made with a single needle, using short pieces of yarn which are pulled through previous stitches, creating dense and warm items which don't unravel the way knitted items do.
