Oak Charcuterie Boards by Jim Sannerud

Sleek and stylish Charcuterie boards hand crafted by longtime North House instructor and woodworker Jim Sannerud. These boards are made from solid oak . The asymmetrical design and beveled edges are so pleasing to the eye! Each is hand-sanded and oiled, ready to use. Although both boards are relatively narrow, one is wider than the other, so one is called narrow and the other is called wide.  Sizes of the boards are: 

    Narrow: 16" - 17 1/4" long, 4- 4 3/4" wide and 3/4" deep

    Wide: 15 3/4" - 16" long, 4 1/4" to 5 3/4" wide and 1" deep

For over 30 years, Jim’s passion for craft has been fueled by his respect for the natural properties of wood and a strong sense of his Scandinavian heritage. Even from the same tree, each piece of fresh wood holds the potential for discovery and movement, and the tool marks, gentle curves, and hand-carving on each functional piece tells the story of its creation. Jim has studied extensively in Sweden and Northern Europe, drawn to the vibrant and organic folk art that is part of the history and modern culture of those areas.
