Scandikitchen Fika & Hygge

Scandikitchen Fika and Hygge, a book of comforting cakes and bakes from Scandinavia with love, is written by Bronte Aurell and is one of several books that we carry in our school store written by the London-based Scandikitchen authors.  Bronte and her husband Jonas are Swedish and Danish and their love of their homeland and customs are evident in this book written from a longing for the comforts of Scandinavian living.  In Sweden, Fika is the celebration of slowing down and having a bite to eat over coffee with friends and family. In Denmark Hygge describes a state of content coziness with friends where nothing else seems to matter.
