Crooked Knife by Nate Johnson

The crooked knife is a North American indigenous wood carving tool used across the continent, with different versions of it appearing throughout the world. Held with one hand and pulled towards the user, it is the perfect portable tool for making larger wooden objects - birch bark canoes, paddles, snowshoes, basket rims, ax handles, lacrosse sticks, wild ricing gear, and more. 1095 steel mounted in a curly maple handle, with a leather sheath.  The crafts person of this unique tool, Nate Johnson, teaches courses at North House.
