Fashionable AND warm, as crafted by North House instructor Julie Arthur in a variety of fibers including cotton, wool, silk, and homespun wool. Head scarves cover the back of your head and still wrap cozily around your neck!

Pinks (Far left image): An exceptionally thick and warm felted scarf in shades of pink, from salmon to raspberry, and made of handspun wool and silk. Soft, soft, soft! Measures 9-1/2" by 56", no tassels.

Greens Cotton (3rd scarf from the left): A lighter weight head scarf in vermillion green with brown and tan, made of 100% cotton. Measures 7-1/2" by 66" with 4" tassels at each end.

Purples (2nd scarf from the left): An extra wide head scarf combining two tonal lengths in woven shades of violet, mauve, blackberry, and black, made of 100% cotton. Measures 12-1/2" by 68 with 4" tassels at each end.

Purple #1 (on mannequin): A gorgeous overall weave of berry, mauve and blue-gray, made of 100% cotton. Measures 8" by 56" with 4" tassels at each end.

Purple #2 (2nd scarf from the right): An oh-so-cozy thicker head scarf in multiple shades of purples and pinks, made of cotton and homespun wool with a subtle herringbone weave which creates a nubby feel. Measures 8" by 64" with 4" tassels on each end.

Purple #3 (far right): An ombre head scarf, running from blue at one end, through purple, raspberry and orange-red, to golden orange at the other end, with a common warp of raspberry, blue-gray, and tea rose. Flecks of green and yellow as well! Woven of cotton, wool, and silk in a stunning subtle herringbone pattern.

Julie fell in love with weaving after taking a class at the University of Minnesota in 1972. She does production weaving in her studio in Tofte, MN, specializing in woven rugs, household items and garments using hand dyed materials, handspun fibers, and recycled materials. Julie is also an active member of the Northwoods Fiber Guild.
