Large Sweetgrass w/Black Stripe Agate #20, PSundetWolfe

This sweet (yes, pun intended!) basket is woven of fragrant sweetgrass and sedge, and includes a stunning base of black striped agate. A white mesh of white thread on the sides is banded with solid black stripes and a rim and base in simple black thread. The two black bands are connected by a string of beads. It measures approximately 14" by 8", and 2.25" high.

Paula has been gathering grasses and brush to make traditional crafts for the past 25 years. A resident of northern Minnesota, Paula has a deep appreciation for the North Woods and its resources and likes to convey that appreciation through her basket weaving and twig furniture. Paula has an MA in anthropology with an emphasis on utilitarian art of North American cultures.
