Make a Chair from a Tree

In 1978, Jennie Alexander's first edition of Make a Chair from a Tree was published. Excitement ensued and a new generation of woodworkers showed renewed interest in green woodworking and chairmaking. Following that first printing, Jennie continued to refine the design of the chair shown in the book.  Before the third printing of the book, the author sadly passed away.  Thanks to the help of Peter Follansbee and Larry Bennet, this edition came together at Lost Art Press and is a beautiful full color illustrated book in the familiar hardbound 9" X 9" black cloth cover.  This edition contains information about steambending as well as all the other details of making a beautiful ladderback post and rung chair.
