Sweetgrass Agate Basket by Paula Sundet Wolf

This sweet (yes, pun intended!) basket is woven of fragrant sweetgrass and includes an unusual base of a brown and ivory agate slice. The primary threads are ochre with more ornate threading in black banding the middle. It is approximately 6.5" by 6" in diameter and 2" high.

Paula has been gathering grasses and brush to make traditional crafts for the past 25 years. A resident of northern Minnesota, Paula has a deep appreciation for the North Woods and its resources and likes to convey that appreciation through her basket weaving and twig furniture. Paula has an MA in anthropology with an emphasis on utilitarian art of North American cultures.
