Sweetgrass Basket w/Agate #15 by Paula Sundet Wolf

This sweet (yes, pun intended!) basket is woven solely of fragrant sweetgrass, and includes a base of caramel agate. The threads are all golden caramel in color with a more ornate banding near the top.  It measures approximately 8.5" by 7.5", and 2.5" high.

Paula has been gathering grasses and brush to make traditional crafts for the past 25 years. A resident of northern Minnesota, Paula has a deep appreciation for the North Woods and its resources and likes to convey that appreciation through her basket weaving and twig furniture. Paula has an MA in anthropology with an emphasis on utilitarian art of North American cultures.
