Sweetgrass Rim Basket w/Agate, Iris & Daylily by Paula Sundet Wolf

This stunning basket is woven of fragrant sweetgrass, iris, and daylily, and includes an agate base which recalls the northern days of ice out on the lakes! The primary crisscross threads are deep green, topped with an ornate layer of white threading. It measures approximately 8.5" by 9.5", and 2" high.

Paula has been gathering grasses and brush to make traditional crafts for the past 25 years. A resident of northern Minnesota, Paula has a deep appreciation for the North Woods and its resources and likes to convey that appreciation through her basket weaving and twig furniture. Paula has an MA in anthropology with an emphasis on utilitarian art of North American cultures.
