Sweetgrass, Sedges, Agate, #28, PSundetWolf

This sweet (yes, pun intended!) basket is woven of fragrant sweetgrass and sedge, and includes a stunning base of indigo agate. The side cross-banded threads are a bright blue color with simple black threading at top and bottom.  It measures approximately 7.5" by 7", and 2" high.

Paula has been gathering grasses and brush to make traditional crafts for the past 25 years. A resident of northern Minnesota, Paula has a deep appreciation for the North Woods and its resources and likes to convey that appreciation through her basket weaving and twig furniture. Paula has an MA in anthropology with an emphasis on utilitarian art of North American cultures.
